About Us...

          Knit Cloth Manufacturers Association (KNITCMA) is one of the vibrant associations at Tirupur and registered with Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 1977.  Our Association is previously known as Banian Cloth Manufacturers Association commenced from 1975.

        It is renamed as KNITCMA. The Association is rendering services to the hosiery industry for its developments and representing to remove the bottleneck problems as and when arise in the industry. Mr. Ahill S. Rathinasamy is the president of this Association. Main Activities of KNITCMA To remove the bottleneck problems as and when arise in the hosiery industry, the association is having representation with Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Textiles, Central Excise, Customs, Apparel Export Promotion Council, Department of Duty Drawback, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, Employees State Insurance, Employees Provident Fund, Inspector of Factories, Central Sales Tax, Tamilnadu General Sales Tax, Coimbatore District Industries Centre, SIDCO, TIIC, etc. Settling Labor Wages agreements on every three years on coordination with other major associations at Tirupur.

Main Activities :-

  • Developing good relationship with the labours and entrepreneurs.

  • Conducting Seminars on Fashion Designing, International Knitwear Marketing, Waste Minimization and other essential subjects related with Hosiery Industry.

  • Arranging Buyer-Seller meets abroad, especially USA, Canada, and EU countries.

  • Attending Machinery, Garment Fairs abroad. Provide training to develop skilled workers & staff. Provide feedbacks/inputs by experts abroad / domestic.

  • Disseminating day-to-day affairs, Notifications and Circulars over Email & Fax to Knitwear International Marketing members only.

  • Procuring needles and machinery spares and supplying to the units during scarcity periods.

  • Marketing Knitcma Website at USA, EU, Canada, etc. To implementing a Project “Strategies and Preparedness for Trade and Globalization”.

  • Affiliation with Bad Debt Collectors in EU, Canada countries. Affiliation with Garment Marketing Companies in EU, USA and Canada.

  • Production & various process study tour to China and South East Asian Countries. Attending Machinery Fair & Garment Fairs abroad. Conducting Fashion Shows Conducting Catalogue Shows abroad Etc.,
